This 12” X 24” thermal platform has been
specifically designed to be used for functional and reliability testing of space
flight hardware. It will be installed in a space simulation thermal vacuum
chamber. The coolant channels are hermetically sealed to prevent any leakage
into the vacuum chamber. In this case liquid nitrogen is used. The liquid
distribution and vapor return pipes and manifolds have been designed to deliver
uniform temperature across the entire surface of the thermal platform.
