This 6.75” X 26.25” thermal platform was specifically designed for use in TWT (traveling wave tube) reliability and functional testing in a vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber is used to simulate reduced pressure at high altitude. The cooling circuits are hermetically sealed to prevent leakage of the coolant into the vacuum chamber environment. The thermal platform is divided into two zones with separate control of each zone using a dual channel temperature controller. The dual zones permit uniform temperature control of the TWT baseplate even with thermal “hot spots” created by the TWT collector. Click on a pictures to enlarge.
