Advantages of cryogenically cooled plates when compared to the MRTP

• Lower initial cost than the MRTP
• Rapid and efficient testing of components
• Compact size

Drawbacks of cryogenically cooled plates when compared to the MRTP

• Higher cost of ownership than the MRTP due to ongoing need to purchase LN2 or LCO2
• Requires handling of LN2 or LCO2 storage cylinders or an LN2 or LCO2 distribution system
• LN2 or LCO2 delivery systems can be messy due to condensation and melting ice
